Transits 2A and 2B are along the crest and northern slope of the Mendocino Ridge, between the Gorda Escarpment and the axis of the Gorda Ridge. Included in the survey is the emergent section of the Mendocino Ridge described by Fisk et al. (1993). The data show numerous small canyons cut into the northern slope of the ridge.
