Background The Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-View
Sensor is mounted on the SeaStar satellite.
Spectral data are collected to view global ocean color. SeaWiFS data were used
during the MUSE project to help scientists follow upwelling fronts of nutrient-rich waters that attract phytoplankton. |
